SCRIBE WORK

For us, exceptional cabinetry is about far more than what is made in the workshop. It is the precision of the final fitting that truly defines the finished piece.

Every installation is fitted by our own experienced craftsmen, allowing us to maintain complete control over the quality and finish from beginning to end. This is particularly important when working in older and listed buildings, where walls, floors and ceilings are rarely perfectly straight or square. Rather than expecting the building to conform to the furniture, we carefully scribe each piece to follow the character and contours of the space.

Our brickwork scribes are a perfect example of this attention to detail. Where cabinetry meets exposed brick, uneven masonry or original architectural features, we meticulously scribe the furniture to create a seamless, considered transition. It is this level of precision that transforms a well-made cabinet into something that feels as though it truly belongs within the building.

Working in period properties also requires a sensitive approach. Original features, irregular walls and historic details all form part of the character of a home, and our aim is to complement these rather than disguise them. Whether fitting into a centuries-old property or a contemporary space, we take the same uncompromising approach to accuracy, proportion and finish.

We believe the difference is in the details that may not immediately be noticed — the perfectly scribed edge, the carefully negotiated uneven wall, the clean junction between old and new. These are the details that ensure our work looks exceptional not only on the day it is installed, but for years to come.

It is this uncompromising attention to detail that sets our work apart — and makes us a trusted choice for discerning private clients, architects and interior designers.
